Today I found out I have 'trigger finger' - or rather 'trigger thumb'. Seriously, I'm not kidding. I went to the doctor today to find out what is wrong with my left thumb. You see, about 5 weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night to find that my thumb was snapping at the knuckle - it didn't move smoothly. At first I attributed it to sleeping on it. But, it stuck around for a while. Sometimes swelling up but with a pain that was getting slowly worse. The last few days were real bad. Awful pain trying to move it when I get up in the morning. No where could I find out what was causing it - not on the net, not at the chiroprator, nothing. However, my physician spotted it right away and knew what it was. He said he only sees this maybe once a year and usually with the index finger. I felt special! We still can't figure out how this happened. Very weird (no, not a Blackberry injury in case you were wondering). After talking through a few options we went with a cortisone shot that should help. In a few days I should notice improvement. Hope so.
By the way, in case anyone wants to apply for a job online at Enterprise Rent a Car, expect about a 45 minute process. There was soooo much to fill out yesterday! My dad used to work there and recommended it. There are like five sections to fill out. Then, when I was done with that, another two would come up. We'll see about this one, I am not sure if they can pay me enough come June. Not my ideal job but something to consider in the event things get scary in a month or so.
